Pemanfaatan Arang Aktif Akar Bakau dan Cangkang Kerang Dara (Anadara granosa) sebagai Filter Air

Air sumur gali di beberapa wilayah Tanjungpinang, masih menunjukkan kualitas yang belum memenuhi standar baku mutu air bersih, terutama pada parameter besi (Fe), kadmium (Cd), amonia, kekeruhan, dan pH. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas cangkang kerang dara (Anadara granosa), karbon aktif akar bakau (Rhizophora mucronata), serta kombinasi keduanya sebagai media filtrasi dalam meningkatkan kualitas air sumur gali. Metode penelitian menggunakan eksperimen dengan tiga perlakuan filtrasi (A1, A2, dan A3) serta kontrol (A0) yang dilakukan dengan tiga kali pengulangan. Parameter yang diuji meliputi Fe, Cd, amonia, kekeruhan, dan pH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh perlakuan mampu menurunkan kadar Fe dan Cd secara signifikan (>99% untuk Fe), namun efektivitas tertinggi dalam penurunan Fe dan kekeruhan ditunjukkan oleh karbon aktif akar bakau (A2). Cangkang kerang dara (A1) lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan pH, sedangkan kombinasi (A3) menunjukkan hasil yang tidak selalu optimal karena adanya interaksi antarmedia yang dapat menurunkan kinerja adsorpsi dan filtrasi. Pada parameter amonia, A1 merupakan perlakuan paling efektif, sedangkan A2 dan A3 menunjukkan penurunan yang rendah. Secara keseluruhan, penggunaan media filtrasi tunggal lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan kombinasi dalam meningkatkan kualitas air sumur gali sesuai dengan Permenkes RI No. 492 Tahun 2010.
