Strategi pencegahan korupsi pada umumnya ialah mengurangi perbuatan yang merugikan masyarakat dan merugikan negara. Dalam hal ini perlu adanya pendekatan dari ekonomi, budaya, etika atau moralitas. Pendekatan ini bertujuan memangkas secara berkala tindakan korupsi di birokrasi baik secara kelompok maupun individu serta meminimalisir korupsi yang meningkat siginifikan dalam beberapa tahun ini. Segala perbuatan korupsi di kepulauan riau mengarah pada tujuan memperkaya diri karena kurangnya pemikiran yang jernih akan ketidaktakutan melakukan tindakan tersebut. Dalam studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini menunjukan selain pendekatan, strategi dalam pencegahannya yang harus dilaksanakan melihat dari unsur manusia itu sendiri dengan melibatkankan pengawasan oleh partisipasinya masyarakat serta meningkatkan tanggung jawab moral serta kehidupan dilingkungan sekitar yang ditanamkan sikap anti korupsi dalam upaya menyelamatkan generasi muda yang akan datang
