The first article, “Livelihood Strategies of Rainfed Rice Farmers During the Covid-19 Pandemic in Kalampadu Village, Ogan Ilir Regency,” investigates how rainfed rice farmers adapted their livelihoods during the pandemic period. The authors analyze shifts in income sources, agricultural practices, and social resilience mechanisms, emphasizing diversification and collective coping strategies to sustain household economies amid environmental and market uncertainties. The second article, “The Meaning of the Word ‘Homeland’ According to the Perspective of the Indonesian Nation,” explores the philosophical and cultural significance of the term tanah air (homeland) in shaping Indonesia’s national identity. Through a sociocultural lens, the study highlights how the concept intertwines emotional, historical, and ideological dimensions that unify the diverse Indonesian people under shared values of belonging and patriotism. The third article, “Changes in the Livelihood Environment of Fishermen in Tambak Lorok Village,” examines how environmental degradation, climate variability, and coastal urbanization have transformed the livelihood systems of local fishermen. The study discusses the adaptive strategies used by fishing households to respond to declining marine resources and the importance of community cooperation in sustaining socioeconomic stability. The fourth article, “Models of Traditional Fishing in Teluk Sepang: A Study from the Perspective of Rational Action Analysis,” applies rational action theory to analyze how traditional fishermen make strategic decisions in resource management. It reveals how economic considerations, risk assessments, and social norms shape fishermen’s choices in adopting new fishing models that balance efficiency with cultural values. The fifth article, “Empowering Coastal Communities Through Ecotourism Development,” explores how community-based ecotourism can promote economic empowerment and environmental conservation in coastal areas. The authors emphasize participatory governance, local entrepreneurship, and sustainable management as key elements in fostering both community welfare and ecological preservation. The final article, “Resilience and Solidarity of the Kemiri Village Community After Natural Disasters from a Sociological Perspective,” investigates the sociological dimensions of recovery and adaptation following natural disasters. The study highlights the central role of social solidarity, traditional networks, and collective action in rebuilding community life and maintaining social cohesion amid post-disaster challenges.
