Pelatihan Pengoperasian Canvas Instructure sebagai Learning Management System beserta Potensinya

Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat (PPM) ini adalah untuk melatih guru matematika dalam pengoperasian Canvas Instructure sebagai alternatif Learning Management System (LMS) dalam pembelajaran di kelas, mengetahui respon guru peserta terhadap pelatihan, dan menjelaskan potensi yang dimiliki oleh Canvas Instructure selain dalam pengelolaan kelas. Model pelaksanaan kegiatan PPM ini adalah model pendampingan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dalam mempersiapkan kegiatan belajar mengajar melalui pendekatan hybrid (synchronous dan asynchronous) yang dibagi dalam 4 tahap, yaitu sesi pelatihan, tahap pendampingan pembuatan LMS, review hasil kerja peserta dan tahap evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Dari 72 peserta pelatihan, diperoleh 23 produk berupa LMS berbasis Canvas Instructure. Berdasarkan respon peserta, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini sangat baik. Canvas Instructure juga dinilai memiliki potensi untuk menjadi platform kegiatan lomba daring dan alat bantu analisis hasil penelitian melalui fitur Quizzes. Kendala sinyal dan ketidakbiasaan guru dalam memanfaatkan LMS ini dapat menjadi perhatian untuk dilakukan pendampingan secara berkelanjutan, terutama dalam mengeksplorasi fitur lain.
