PERAN UN WOMEN DALAM MENDUKUNG KEBIJAKAN EQUAL PAY FIFA SEPAK BOLA WANITA DI INGGRIS

penggemar luar biasa yang tersebar di seluruh dunia. Setiap orang
dapat dipastikan memiliki pengetahuan dasar mengenai olahraga
sepak bola. Ini tidak lepas dari kemampuan publisitas yang baik
serta daya tarik spesial dari olahraga tersebut, seperti pemain, klub
sepak bola, sampai pada sejarahnya. Melalui survei yang
dilaksanakan oleh FIFA, tercatat sebanyak 250 juta pemain sepak
bola aktif yang tersebar di 200 negara dengan penggemar sebesar
3,5 milyar manusia (Avaz, 2021). Dalam menjelaskan permasalahan
ini, jenis metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan
kualitatif. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui
berbagai strategi yang dilaksanakan UN Women untuk mendukung
Equal Pay FIFA dan mengetahui proses implementasi kebijakan
Equal Pay FIFA terhadap pemain sepak bola wanita di Inggris. Hasil
dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggandeng FIFA,
UN Women berusaha untuk meningkatkan kesadaran terhadap
kesetaraan gender di olahraga sepak bola.
