Publication Ethics

OKTAHEDRAL upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and is committed to ensuring the integrity of the academic record. This policy applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

We adopt the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expect all stakeholders to act with honesty, transparency, and responsibility.

For Authors:

• Authors must ensure that their work is original, not plagiarized, and has not been submitted or published elsewhere.
• Proper citations and acknowledgments must be given to all sources.
• All co-authors must have significantly contributed to the research and approved the final version of the manuscript.
• Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
• If the research involves human participants or animals, ethical approval must be obtained and clearly stated.
• In case of significant errors discovered after publication, authors must promptly notify the editor for correction or retraction.
  For Editors:
• Editors are responsible for fair and unbiased decisions on submitted manuscripts, based solely on academic merit.
• Editors will not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or other editorial staff.
• Editors must ensure that all manuscripts are evaluated confidentially and must avoid any conflict of interest.
• The editorial team will handle misconduct or ethical complaints according to COPE guidelines.|
  For Reviewers:
• Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.
• Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not use the information in the manuscript for personal gain.
• If a reviewer detects plagiarism, duplication, or unethical content, they are encouraged to report it to the editor.
• Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts if there is a conflict of interest.
  Plagiarism and Misconduct

Jurnal Oktahedral uses similarity detection software to screen for plagiarism. Submissions found to contain plagiarized content or data manipulation will be rejected immediately and may be subject to further investigation or sanctions. This policy aligns with the principles of COPE and major scientific publishers.

Reporting Ethical Concerns

Any concerns or allegations of misconduct related to submissions or published papers should be reported directly to the editorial board at: prodikimia@umrah.ac.id
