PENGUATAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP BUDAYA MARITIM PERBATASAN DI KECAMATAN BELAKANG PADANG BATAM

Abstract

Belakang Padang is one of the border areas. As a border region, it certainly has an important aspect in geopolitics. The people of Rear Padang District are Malay people. The Malay culture that is adhered to by the people of Rear Padang District is still very strong from generation to generation and is still carried out in their daily lives, both from language, community habits, food, customs, traditional games such as tops and so on. Thus the Rear Padang area has cultural potential that can support the realization of this area as a cultural area that has identity and identity. However, the attention of all parties is still needed in developing and optimizing the cultural potential which has been almost neglected due to globalization, especially by the younger generation. This needs to be done to strengthen identity and cultural identity in this region. One of them is through community service activities, especially for the younger generation to strengthen the maritime border culture behind Padang through the form of socialization of culture experience and culture knowledge
