Abstract

It is hoped that the purpose of this Community Service activity through this socialization is not only to increase knowledge of discretion, but also to strengthen the capacity of Village HR and BPD regarding the authority to use discretion in administering village government. This PKM is a solution offered regarding the problem of lack of knowledge of the Duara Village Government and BPD regarding the use of discretion for village government. The dedication method used is: a) persuasive; b) educative; c) communicative; and d) accommodative. Through this PKM participants gain knowledge about the Concept of Discretion based on Law 30 of 2014 Regarding Purpose, Scope, Discretionary Requirements and the mechanism for using discretion.

The existence of discretion in the AP Law must be seen as an effort to create legal certainty in order to prevent what is threatened and to provide legal protection to citizens, communities and government officials, in this case the Village Administration. The AP Law is a legal umbrella for Village Governments so that they are not criminalized in a reckless manner.
