Abstract

Mangrove crab (S. serrata) is the most popular type of crab as a food ingredient and has a fairly high selling price. The aims of this research were to determined  the gonads maturity level of mangrove crab (S. serrata) and the best dosage to stimulate gonads maturation induced with hormone Oodev. The research was held on October 2019 for 30 days at Tanjung Lanjut Village. This research was conducted in 4 treatment and 3 replication whit completely randomized  design.  K treatment (without hormone), treatment A (0.5ml/kg body weight), treatment B (1ml/kg body weight) and treatment C (1.5 ml/kg body weight). The results showed the best dosage of oodev hormone was in treatment B (1ml/kg body weight) can increase the maturity of the gonads to TKG IV with percentage value of gonad maturity was 100%, the value of  index gonadosomatic was 6.27%, the value of index hepatosomatic was 0.27%, the egg diameter value was 0.22mm, and the best absolute weight were at treatment C of 6.50g.
