Abstract

The aims of this research to identified by of  the type ectoparasites on silver pompano (Trachinotus blochii) at aquaculture location in Tanjungpinang City and calculated  the percentage of prevalence and intensity. This research was used survey  directly method at location which sampling were hold on three floating net cages at aquaculture location, Madong, Dompak, and Kampung Kolam. The observation of ectoparasites was carried out at the Fish Quarantine Center of Fisheries Product Quality and Safety Control, Tanjungpinang. On observation, there were three dominant  genera that appeared Benedenia, Cirolana,and Zeylanicobdella arugamensis. The highest invation of ectoparasite was Zeylanicobdella arugamensis with prevalenced was generally and intensity was the moderate category on 30% and 5,67.
