Abstract

Ikan ekonomis penting yang Sebagian besar merupakan ikan karnivora yang hidup di terumbu karang (Haemulidae, Lutjanidae dan Serranidae) memiiliki perananan yang sangat penting karena mereka menyediakan sumber daya pangan, sumber pendapatan bagi masyarakat lokal, serta berkontribusi pada ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi komunitas ikan karnivora (Haemulidae, Lutjanidae dan Serranidae) di Perairan Lingga. Metode Pengambilan sampel menggunakan Underwater Visual Census (UVC) dengan Belt Transect sepanjang 70-meter dengan lebar pengamatan sisi sebesar 5-meter dari 12 titik stasiun penelitian yang tersebar di Perairan Kabupaten Lingga. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat 3 jenis ikan dari famili Haemulidae, 6 jenis ikan dari famili Lutjanidae dan 5 Jenis ikan dari famili Serranidae. Populasi ikan karnivora terbesar yang ditemukan di perairan Lingga yaitu dari jenis Lutjanus corponatatus.
