Keywords: Village Fund Allocations, Economic Development, Micro-Entrepreneurs, Empowerment

Abstract

To improve the economy and independence of rural communities, one of the strategies the government undertakes is through the allocation of village funds, namely the financial budget provided by the government to villages, sourced from regional tax revenue sharing and central and regional financial balance funds. The proportion of village funds is 30% for village operational costs and 70% for community development and empowerment. Among the factors that drive the economy of rural communities is the business development of micro-scale entrepreneurs in the village. It is proven that micro and small businesses are businesses that are able to survive the recession and economic crisis that hit a country. The purpose of this research is to describe village fund allocations management for community economic development, especially the empowerment of micro-entrepreneurs in the village. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach using the Milles and Huberman analysis method. The results showed that the proportion of village funds allocated to empower micro-enterprises was still low. The supporting factor is community participation, and the inhibiting factor is that there is no mapping of the development needs of micro-entrepreneurs.
