Digital election campaigns place the public as sources or intermediaries, in contrast to campaigns before the digital era which only placed the public as consumers or recipients. Through social media, people are free to support the candidates they want to elect. On the one hand, digital election campaigns are often used as a tool to bring down political opponents in unhealthy ways because, through social media, people are easily propagated so digital election campaigns have the potential to be filled with hoaxes, hate speech, and black campaigns. This research aims to look for strategic steps that can be taken by the government and society so that the digital campaign ahead of the 2024 elections in Indonesia is not filled with hoaxes, hate speech, and black campaigns. This research is qualitative research in the nature of a literature study to collect information relevant to the topic of discussion. The data sources used come from reference books and scientific articles. Before finding strategic steps to counteract the negative potential of digital campaigns ahead of the election, researchers first look for and analyze the factors that underlie the negative potential of digital campaigns ahead of the election. The research results show that four factors underlie the emergence of negative potential for digital campaigns ahead of the election, including ambition for power, political polarization, societal and cultural factors, and digital literacy factors. These factors were analyzed, resulting in four strategic steps that could be taken to counteract the negative potential of digital campaigns ahead of the elections in Indonesia in 2024. It has been observed that in the area around Sedayu, Bantul Regency, telecommunications networks, especially Fiber Optic (FO) lines, are increasingly filling street corners and cities, this is because during the Covid-19 pandemic, many people installed WiFi networks that were connected to people's homes, so the growth was very high fast. Apart from that, operators are also expanding their networks to reach customers everywhere. From other sources, conditions like this are commonplace everywhere, the number of customers and new networks to customers is increasing so that this is one of the factors for service providers without looking at the right environmental location for installing WiFi cable poles.
Faizal Aco Copyright (c) 2024 KEMUDI : Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://ojs.umrah.ac.id/index.php/kemudi/article/view/6456 Mon, 26 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0800 Policy Network Implementation in Refugee Sheltering Places in Bintan https://ojs.umrah.ac.id/index.php/kemudi/article/view/6362

Abstract: Study This aim For research about networking policy in handling refugees in Indonesia who have arranged in regulation president number 125 of 2016 concerning handling refugees abroad. This research aims to explore the roots of political dynasties in the perspective of the democratic system, especially in the state and can contribute as a basis for thought and strategy in preventing political dynasties, especially in democracies that experience election dynamics. This research uses socio-legal research methods. The results of this study found that the phenomenon of political dynasties has grown rapidly in Indonesia's political system, but political dynasties cannot be prohibited because it is the constitutional right of everyone, but political dynasties can be inhibited and prevented by conducting legal reform and political reform in balance. In addition to reforming, the use of Pancasila ideology also increases awareness and nationalism, especially in responding to the problems of political dynasties that occur in society.
Antony, Cindy Lie, Joen Shanylla Copyright (c) 2024 KEMUDI : Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://ojs.umrah.ac.id/index.php/kemudi/article/view/6613 Mon, 26 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0800 The Degradation of Meritocratic Democracy: Political Determination of Gibran Rakabuming's Nomination Dynasty in the 2020 Solo Regional Head Elections https://ojs.umrah.ac.id/index.php/kemudi/article/view/4720
This paper discusses the erosion of the meritocratic system in the victory of Gibran, Jokowi's son, who does not yet have sufficient political experience but advanced and won in the 2020 Solo regional head election by PDIP Party. The research aims to analyze the merit system in Gibran's candidacy and the embryonic political dynasty that Jokowi is trying to build. This study used descriptive qualitative method. data sources were obtained from literature and online data searches. This research uses the theory of Meritocracy Stephen J. McNamee and the concept of a political dynasty. This research results that the degradation of democracy comes from the inconsistency of Gibran's speech and behavior, this is a problem of political ethics. Gibran's advancement in the 2020 Solo contest shows the degradation of democracy in the institutional structure of the PDIP party because the phenomenon of Gibran's candidacy ignores meritocracy. The correlation between political parties, prospective candidates and constituents must be based on a merit system. In conclusion, Gibran's victory in the 2020 Solo Mayoral Election ignores meritocracy and is a degradation of democracy. The correlation between political parties, candidates and constituents is a mutually influential relationship to the practice of merit which is the basis for political contestation.
Putri Hergianasari, Diana S.A.N Tabun, Semuel Risal Copyright (c) 2024 KEMUDI : Jurnal Ilmu Pemerintahan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://ojs.umrah.ac.id/index.php/kemudi/article/view/4720 Mon, 26 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0800 Analysis of Prevention of Unscheduled Campaigns Carried out by Election Monitoring Institutions in 2024 https://ojs.umrah.ac.id/index.php/kemudi/article/view/6656
The research was conducted due to the phenomenon of campaign start theft by political parties in Indonesia.
