The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data presented in this study are in the form of words, expressions, sentences that show gender inequality in the novel. The data source used is Dian Purnomo's novel Women Who Cry to the Black Moon, published in Gramedia Pustaka Utama in Jakarta in 2020 with a thickness of 320 pages. The data collection technique used was reading, listening, and recording techniques. The results obtained from this study were analyzed for forms of gender inequality in the form of marginalization, subordination, labeling/marking, violence, and workload. The marginalization of women (Economic Pemiskinan) in the novel as a whole tells that women work is limited, namely only around the house. Subordination (the assumption is not important in making decisions) in the novel tells that there is a decision that was taken unilaterally because it was initiated by the rejection of women. Labeling/marking (stereotypes) in this case Magi raises the view of the proof side that women can also be successful in the path they choose. Violence (Violence) in Dian Purnomo's novel Women Who Cry to the Black Moon shows the treatment of violence against women, both physically and non-physically. The workload in this case is a woman's right, which should not have a double burden, instead she bears all the burdens.</p> ER -
