Abstract

Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) was a microfolora found in the digestive intestinal tract of organisms. The purpose of this study was to determine LAB isolates that have the inhibitor effect againt V. harveyi . The methods of this research consisted isolation of bacteria, morphology test, biochemical test, and physiological test ( pH resistense test , antibacterial activity assay and BSLT test). The results of the research obtained 10 isolates and 4 selected bacteria. The highest inhibitory activity against V. harveyi test bacteria showed by  isolates B1.P4, B2.P4 and B4.P4 with 10 mm. BSLT test obtained isolates with the lowest toxicity showed by isolates  B2.P4 and B5.P4 isolates with the regression value were 880, 71. The identification results showed that B1.P4 were Leuconostoc sp, B2.P4 were Bacillus sp, B4.P4  and B5.P4 were Lactococcus sp. Based on the results of the test series, B4.P4 and B5.P4 candidats had the potential as probiotic.
